Maya Tulum

Maya Tulum is a beautiful retreat located on the Caribbean seashore of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. The combination of nature, privacy, isolation, comfort, delicious food and easy access make it the perfect place for a Yoga vacation. One and a half hours after arrival at Cancun's International Airport you can experience the peace and tranquility of Maya Tulum.

Mexico's Caribbean

The Caribbean sea with its warm, crystal clear, turquoise colored water is the area's greatest attraction. Enjoy it swimming, snorkeling the nearby reef (an underwater paradise of colored fish, coral and other marine life), diving, sailing, fishing. The pristine beaches have very fine white sand and they extend for miles.  Walk through the jungle to visit a "cenote" (fresh water jungle pool), explore the "Sian Ka'an" Biosphere Reserve, visit yesterday's great Maya cities, or simply relax on the beach to the ever present rhythm of the waves. The climate is ideal, the sun shines all year with cooling sea breezes and a glorious clear sky particular to this part of the world. Maya Tulum is next to the Ancient Mayan Ruins in Tulum and very close to Xel-Ha (Shell-Ha), a snorkeling paradise, (the best in all of Mexico). Maya is surrounded by "cenotes", beautiful swimming holes in caves and other mysterious places. It is ideal for swimming and celebrating the mysteries of life.

Natural Reserve

Next door to Maya Tulum is the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve which is a protected natural area with miles of empty beaches, unspoiled rainforest and vast lagoons. The second largest protected area in Mexico, Sian Ka'an (which means "where the sky is born" in Mayan) is home to hundreds of species, birds, peccaries, tapirs, manatees, iguanas, fish and sea turtles. Approximately 345 species of birds including more than a million migratory ones live here.

Lodging
Maya Tulum's traditional Mayan style palapas are nestled along the white sand beach. Each palapa is designed for comfort and convenience. We'll offer three options in lodging to make this retreat as economically accessible as possible. Prices are based on double occupancy (2 guests per room). All accommodations are shared between two people unless you choose to pay for a private palapa. We will assign roommates unless you make a specific request.

Meals
To ensure the good health of all yogis, special care is taken in the preparation and cleaning of all fruits and vegetables. If you have specific dietary concerns, please let us know. The restaurant is an exquisite huge cabana built on two levels with marble floors and white limestone walls. Through its windows you have a fantastic view of the coastline with the turquoise Caribbean Sea embracing the white sand. The restaurant is basically vegetarian and also serves fresh seafood, and at any time of the day you may order from the bar your favorite drink or smoothie. Maya Tulum celebrates each meal in a large palapa overlooking the Caribbean. The vegetarian restaurant provides three meals a day. Breakfast is a feast of fresh fruits, oatmeal, eggs, pancakes, french toast, and beverages. Lunch and dinner include a wide range of homemade soups, fish, rice & bean dishes, pastas, traditional Mexican cuisine, vegetables, salads and desserts.

Spa

Maya Tulum offers a wide variety of international spa services. The spa services range from massages, facials, all the way to a banana leaf body wrap.
